I qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 1995 and have been in clinical practice ever since. I have been providing gentle & compassionate pet euthanasia at home for my families since 2008.
I am a graduate of the Companion Animal Euthanasia Training Academy. CAETA provides education in companion animal euthanasia to veterinary professionals seeking to provide a better euthanasia experience for the pet, caregiver and veterinary team. I have undertaken the CAETA training twice as part of my end of life studies. This has consolidated my understanding of this area of veterinary practice and I follow ongoing research in this field. I work constantly to improve the experience of pet euthanasia at home that I offer to my families.
I am one of only a small number of vets in the UK who has undertaken further study and post graduate training in veterinary palliative care. In 2021 I gained my Veterinary Certificate in hospice and palliative care (CHPV) through the International Association of Animal Hospice and Palliative Care. IAAHPC seeks to promote the comfort care of pets, addressing the physical, psychological and social needs of animals with chronic and/or life-limiting diseases and the physical, emotional and spiritual support of their caregivers. The IAAHPC educates professionals and advances research in the field of animal hospice and palliative care.

As a practice we have undertaken further training through, and are an accredited practice with, Compassion Understood.
It has been our privilege to provide pet euthanasia at home to our families since 2008 as part of our previous housecall practice. Since 2020 we have provided at home euthanasia as a dedicated service.
