We are a new style of veterinary practice which opened in May 2008 in the South Devon area for dogs and cats, covering Torbay, Totnes, Newton Abbot and the villages in between. We are dedicated to providing high quality routine medical care and preventive treatment for your pet in the familiar surroundings of their own home. COVID-19 UPDATE
Dear all,
During this challenging time we feel a strong responsibility, not just to our patients, but to you, our clients, many of whom will be in the higher risk category.
As of Monday 23rd March we will be offering consultations for medical cases only for our registered clients and will be postponing the scheduling of any routine appointments (booster vaccinations etc). We will honour prebooked appointments in the near future that are essential.
Sian, our RVN will be self isolating for health reasons for what we foresee to be a prolonged period and working remotely to handle office administration. I will oftentimes be working and consulting solo with more limited availability of nursing assistance and more limited time slots available due to the confirmed school closures, members of our profession not currently being classed as key workers. Please bear with us. We will try to do our best by you and your pet.
If you have a concern about your pet please telephone. If we feel it is appropriate we may be able to offer telephone consultations for some cases.
At any visit we will take sensible precautions with hand washing and the use of hand sanitiser. We would ask, excepting end of life consultations, that only one owner be in the room.
If you are ill or self isolating and need veterinary treatments please let us know. We will do our best to treat your pet without the need for you to be present. This may require enlisting the help of friends or neighbours. You may also request to be absent from the consultation as a preference if nursing assistance is available.
Visits will only be suspended if I have to go in to self isolation. However the national situation is currently changing and we do not know what, if any, compulsory measures will be put in place, or how it may affect our ability to provide services and medications. We will always do our best.
Please do allow extra time when ordering repeat prescriptions or pet food. We do not know if or when our supply deliveries may be affected. Please be sensible and we will get your orders out to you as soon as possible.
Please do also get in touch if you yourself need help with picking up shopping or prescriptions, urgent supplies, posting of mail etc or if you have a vulnerable friend or neighbour who needs the same. Health and restrictions allowing I will be out and about.
